Methuen, MA – Noreen R. Joyal 71, died Wednesday, March 2nd at her son’s home, surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Boston on September 9, 1939, Noreen was the daughter of Joseph and Veronica (Cotter) Turgeon. She was educated in the Lawrence Schools and was a graduate of Lawrence High School. For twenty-three years she was employed with Honeywell Corporation as a technician.
The widow of the late Joseph G. Joyal, with whom she shared 52 years of marriage with until his death on January 16, 2011, Noreen will be deeply missed by her children, Donnamaria Harrington and her husband Michael of Derry, NH and John T. Joyal and his wife Judy of Methuen, MA, four beloved grandchildren Lindsay, Matthew, Andrew and Sean, one brother Thomas Turgeon and his wife Jeanne of Methuen, sister in law Helen Turgeon of Methuen, MA, aunt, Millie Bass of Methuen and uncle, Roland Cotter and his wife Wendy of Maryland, as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Noreen enjoyed reading, playing games on the computer, and most importantly, spending time with her "treasures"-her grandchildren.
Noreen’s family would like to express their heartfelt appreciation to all of her caregivers and to all of the staff at both the Mary Immaculate Assisted Living and at the Merrimack Valley Hospice. The dedicated, compassionate, loving care that she received from everyone, especially from Kim, her aide at MI, is so greatly appreciated.
ARRANGEMENTS: Relatives and friends may pay their respects on SATURDAY from 4:00p.m. – 7:00p.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on MONDAY at 9:00a.m. at St. Monica’s Church in Methuen.
