Florence R. Yozura, 92, of Woonsocket, died Tuesday at Landmark Medical Center. She was the wife of the late George “Jake” Yozura.
Born in Worcester, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Rosealma (LaBonte) Tatro. She was a resident of Woonsocket for most of her life.
Mrs. Yozura was employed for many years at the Falls Yarn Company in Woonsocket before her retirement in 1981.
Florence was a former member of the St. Louis Senior Citizens Club. She will be remembered as being a devoted wife and mother and loving grandmother and great-grandmother.
She is survived by a son Alan Yozura, and his wife Janet, of Franklin, a daughter Gloria Higgins, and her husband Philip, of East Greenwich, three grandchildren, Kelly Nascimento, Tracy Higgins, and Jason Yozura, and two great-grandchildren, Hailey and Jadir. She was the sister of the late Eugene Tatro.
Her Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday at 11:00am in All Saints Church, Rathbun St., Woonsocket. Burial will follow in Precious Blood Cemetery, Woonsocket. Visiting hours are Friday morning from 9:00-10:30 am, prior to Mass, in the Menard-Lacouture Funeral Home, 127 Carrington Ave., Woonsocket. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Mt.
