Obituary

Don L. Anderson, 84, of Fitzgerald, died Sunday at the V. A. Medical Center in Dublin.

Funeral Services will be held 11 A.M. Tuesday, January 13, 2004, at Mt. Olive Baptist Church in Ben Hill County with Rev. Michael Petty, Rev. Steve Hand and Rev. Jimmy Fennell officiating. Interment will follow in the Church Cemetery. Visitation will be from 7:00 to 9:00 Monday evening at Paulk Funeral Home, Fitzgerald.

Mr. Anderson was born September 26, 1919, in Ben Hill County, to the late Charlie Morgan and Annie McInnis Anderson and was also preceded in death by 5 Brothers and 3 Sisters. He had lived in the community all his life. He was a mechanic, farmer, cattleman and the Owner & Operator of Andersons Used Cars. Mr. Anderson was a U.S. Army veteran of WW II, having served in the Philippines, a 1938 graduate of Fitzgerald High School. He was a member of Mt Olive Baptist Church where he was a member of the Men’s Sunday School Class and Choir. He enjoyed fishing and camping.

Survivors include: His Wife of 52 years; Irene White Anderson, Fitzgerald; three daughters: Donna A. Biggers, Fitzgerald; Sue A. Perry and Judy A. Latham, both of Ocilla. 0ne son: Donald M. Anderson, Sr., Fitzgerald. One sister: Peggy McBride, Tampa, FL, 8 Grand Children and 8 Great Grand Children.
