Barbara A. Alread age 63 of Metamora passed away at 12:02am Monday Feb. 28, 2011 at her residence. She was born Oct. 6, 1947 in Chicago, Illinois to Jack and Helen (Kulak) Rance. She married William C. Alread on June 17, 1967 in Chicago. He survives.
Surviving are two sons, Pete (Stacie) Alread of Seattle, Washington, Ryan (Laurie) Alread of Metamora, and one daughter Angela (Jayson) Querciagrossa of Glasford. Seven grandchildren, Luke, Helena, Olivia, and Maximus Alread, and Vinny, Mia ,and Gina Querciagrossa. She is also survived by one sister Jacqueline “Bunny” Rance of Oak Brook, Il and one brother Gerald (Mary Jo) Rance of Ft. Lauderdale Fl. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Barb was a homemaker, and a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church. She was active with her friends playing bunco and participating in a golf league, bowling league, and theater. She had a passion for life and love for family and friends. Her kindness and generosity was felt by all who knew her. She was a selfless individual who would rather give than receive. Her warm personality could light up a room and make everyone feel welcome. She had a sense of adventure and a love for travel, especially Gulf Shores, Alabama and Walt Disney World.

A Funeral Mass will be at 10:00am Friday March 4, 2011 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Metamora with Father Don Roszkowski officiating. Visitation will be Thursday from 4pm until 7pm at the Mason Funeral Home Metamora Chapel with recitation of the rosary at 7pm. Cremation rites will be accorded after Mass with burial of ashes in St. Mary’s Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made in Barbara’s
