Joseph F. Winfield, 91, beloved husband of the late Opal Marie Winfield for over sixty years passed away February 24, 2011
The loving father of Frederick (Janet), Joseph (Helane), Daniel and the late Opal Winfield, Jr. and four grandchildren.
He was a resident of Jeffersontown, KY for 44 years in the home he designed and built. He was active in the church community all of his life, at times serving as a teacher and Deacon. A decorated Army. veteran of World War II and retired from American Air Filter as a Mechanical Engineer.
He was a good and kind man who will be dearly missed by family and friends.
Visitation 10 am – 1 pm, Thursday with funeral service to follow , 1 PM at Owen Funeral Home – Jeffersontown, 9318 Taylorsville Rd. Immediately afterward a Military Ceremony at Evergreen Cemetery.
