Robert Wilson Price, 55, of Tifton died Friday, February 25, 2011, at his residence. Graveside funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, February 28, 2011, at Oak Ridge Cemetery. Dr. Wayne Roe and Dr. W. Ches Smith III will officiate. The family will receive friends on Monday, February 28, 2011, from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. at Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals, prior to the service at the graveside.
Mr. Price was born on October 9, 1955 in Tifton and was the son of Elmer M. Price of Tifton and the late Lillian Roberts Price. He was a former minister of education and a member of Tifton’s First Baptist Church. He was a kind, thoughtful, and intelligent man, who will be missed by many.
Mr. Price received his Associates Degree in Business from Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College; his B.B.A. in Management from the University of Georgia; and a Masters Degree in Religious Education from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary.
In addition to his father, Mr. Price is survived by two sons and one daughter-in-law, Terry and Kathleen Price of Nashville, Tennessee and Brian Price of Dallas, Texas; and two brothers and one sister-in-law, Mason and Mary Frances Price of Tifton and Perry Price of Tifton.
