Mrs. Beatrice L. Fitzpatrick, a 98-year resident of South Lawrence, died Thursday, February 24, 2011 at Sutton Place in North Andover.
Bea was born October 4, 1912, the daughter of Onesime and Marie Anna (Berube) Demers. After graduating from Sacred Heart Grammar School, ahe went to work for her brother, Walter V. Demers, at Lawrence Plate and Window Glass Company. After marrying in 1940 she became a homemaker as caring for her family was her main priority.
The widow of Walter Fitzpatrick, who died in 2001, Beatrice is survived by her two sons, Walter Fitzpatrick Jr. and James and his wife Rhonda; two grandsons, Ryan and Mark and his wife Heather. She also leaves behind several beloved nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her brothers Walter, Rene, Leo, Herbert, and Lorenzo Demers; and her two sisters Aurelia Beaulieu and Loretta Demers.
The family would like to thank Dr. Alberto Sobrado for his many years of excellent care and kindness. The family would also like to thank the staff of Sutton Place, in particular the third floor staff, for their wonderful, compassionate care her last six weeks.
A funeral mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, March 1, 2011 at 11:00AM in St. Patrick Church in Lawrence, a burial will follow in the Sacred Heart Cemetery in Lawrence.
