Nancy Foster, 79, a lifelong resident of Norton, passed away on Thursday February 24, 2011 at the Morton Hospital in Taunton.
Born in Brockton, MA on June 9, 1931, she was a daughter of the late Leighton A. and Marjorie H. (Copeland) Foster.
Nancy grew up in Norton, was educated in Norton public schools and was a 1948 graduate of Norton High School. She furthered her studies and graduated from the Bryant Stratton Secretarial School in Boston.
Miss Foster had worked as a secretary for nine years for the late Doctor Ernest Bragg at Sturdy Memorial Hospital in Attleboro.
Nancy was an avid gardener. She loved flowers and especially participating in outdoor activities. When younger she was an active member of the 4-H Club and enjoyed tending to the hens at her families homestead in Norton.
She is survived by her sister Barbara Foster of Norton, her brother Leighton C. Foster of Norton and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
At the request of her family, services will be private. Burial will be held at a later date in Stevens Corner Cemetery, Rehoboth
