Mr. Donald Gray Whitt, age 79, husband of Louise Lineberry Whitt, of Siloam, passed away on Monday, February 21, 2011 at Forsyth Medical Center. He was born in Surry County on February 9, 1932 to the late Grover and Cora Stanley Whitt. Mr. Whitt worked as a farmer and was a member of Old Siloam Friends Church. Mr. Whitt is survived by his loving wife, Louise Lineberry Whitt of the home; three daughters and a son-in-law, Carol Jean Whitt of the home, Donna Whitt O’Neal of Siloam, NC and Teresa and Keith Holt of Pinnacle; one son, Timothy Gray Whitt of the home; four grandchildren, Michael Holt, Patrick O’Neal, Chad O’Neal and Travis O’Neal; two great-grandchildren and one on the way, Andrew O’Neal and Caleb Holt; four sisters and a brother-in-law, Sylvia Whitt Jessup of Westfield, Sally Whitt Evans of Laurel Hill, Betty Whitt Lineberry of Pinnacle and Lena and Lonnie Whitaker of Mocksville; three brothers, Robert “Pete” Whitt of Pinnacle, Ronald Whitt of Mt. Airy and Kent Whitt of Mt. Airy. Mr. Whitt was preceded in death by his parents, Grover and Cora Stanley Whitt; one son-in-law, Larry O’Neal; and one great grandson, Alex O’Neal. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, February 25, 2011 at Old Siloam Friends Church at 2:00 P.M with the Pastor Lem Sprinkle and Bro.
