Christy P. Thomas age 85 of Taunton, formerly of Sharon passed away February 24th at the Beth Israel Hospital in Boston. Born and raised in Worcester, he was the son of the late Nikolas and Bessie Thomas. He graduated from Worcester Boys Trade High School in 1943 & Wentworth Institute in Boston. He was an Army Veteran and P.O.W. during WW II and was a member of the D.A.V. Chapter 90. He worked as a Technical Specialist for Polaroid in Cambridge for 40 years before retiring in 1988. He had lived in Sharon for 45 years before moving to Taunton in 1999. . Beloved husband of Lorraine (Moitozo). Father of Mark K. Thomas of FL & Keith N. Thomas & his wife Donna of Wrentham. Stepfather of Gabriel Moitozo, Jr. & his wife Susan of Marion & Debra Macdonald of Berkley. Brother of Michael P. Thomas of Worcester & the late James, Anthony, Peter, Alexander, Stephen & Helen Nauchy. Also survived by 7 grandchildren, 4.5 great grandchildren & many nieces & nephews. Visiting hours at the Dockray & Thomas Funeral Home 455 Washington St. Canton Friday 5-8 pm. Funeral mass at Immaculate Conception Church Stoughton Saturday morning at 10:30.
