CAROLINE (ZANARDELLI) WINQUIST, 97, a Hingham resident for the past 70 years, passed away peacefully on Monday, Feb. 21st, 2011 with her family at her side. She was born in Quincy where she was raised and educated. Mrs. Winquist was an accomplished seamstress, making clothing for her family and friends. She also enjoyed flower gardening and was an avid walker.
She was the wife of the late Robert J. Winquist and mother of; Priscilla A. Kalajian and her husband Edward of Melbourne Beach, FL, Diane S. Eaton and her husband Greg of Scituate, John S. Winquist of Hingham and the late Robert C. Winquist. Also survived by 7 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
A funeral service will be conducted on Saturday, Feb. 26th at 12 Noon at the Downing Cottage Funeral Chapel, 21 Pond St., Hingham. Friends may visit at the Downing Chapel prior to the service from 10 AM - 12 Noon.
In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to Father Bill’s & MainSpring, Development Office, 422 Washington St., Quincy, MA 02169 or to the charity of choice.
