Deidre “Dee” Lane Jarvis, 60, of Enigma died Wednesday, February 23, 2011, at her residence. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, February 25, 2011, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals. Rev. Kenny Kicklighter will officiate with burial to follow in Enigma Cemetery. Members of the Ohana Circle will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be the men of Alapaha Church of God. The family will receive friends on Thursday, February 24, 2011, from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals.
Mrs. Jarvis was born on January 29, 1951 in Atlanta and was the daughter of John Wilmer Lane, Sr. and Dorothy Weems Lane, both deceased. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Donald Robert Jarvis. She was a former caregiver and a member of Alapaha Church of God and the Ohana Circle of Friends.
Mrs. Jarvis is survived by three brothers, Rocky Lane of Dahlonega, John Lane of Clarksville, Tennessee and Jerry Gable of Ellijay; and one sister, Leda Walker of Atlanta.
