Obituary

Richard E. Jaros, 80, of Merritt, North Carolina, formerly of Medway and Attleboro died February 19, at his home following a long and valiant battle against Parkinson’s disease. He never complained.
Born in Framingham, November 5, 1930, the son of the late Carl and Isabel (Wasnewsky) Jaros, Mr. Jaros had lived in Medway for many years before moving to Attleboro where he lived for 35 years prior to moving to Merritt 8 months ago.
Mr. Jaros had been a tool maker for the Texas Instrument company for many years before retiring.
Mr. Jaros was a member of the Elks Club and the American Legion.
An avid sportsman, his greatest passion was golf but he also enjoyed snow skiing, scuba diving, whitewater rafting, camping, and fishing and was a loyal fan of the Patriots and Red Sox.
Mr. Jaros served in the Navy during the Korean War.
Mr. Jaros was supportive father and was always there for his children.
He is survived by his sons, Richard and his wife Brenda of Emdben, Maine, Glenn and his wife Cheryl of Oriental, North Carolina and Mark of Merritt, North Carolina.
He is also survived by his grandchildren, Michael, Melissa, Christopher, Brianna, Dakota, Madison, Nicholas, Stephen, Gregory and Scott.
He is also survived by his former wives, Laura Beaudry and Joyce Ramsey.
His funeral will be held on Saturday, February 26 from the Ginley-Crowley Funeral Home 3 Barber St. in Medway at 9:15 followed by a funeral Mass in St. Joseph Church at 10:00 a.m.
Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery.
Calling hours will be on Friday from 5-8 p.m.
