Frances S. (Poltorak) Zarajczyk, 98, formerly of Midland Ave., died Sunday, February 20, 2011 at St. Mary Healthcare Center in Worcester following a long period of failing health. She was the wife of the late Stanley Zarajczyk, who died in 1988.
Born in Buffalo, New York, March 26, 1912, a daughter of the late Martin and Mary (Banas) Poltorak, she was raised and educated in New York, and lived in Buffalo for most of her life until moving to Franklin in 1975. She was a retired sales clerk for the Discount Dept. Stores in New York.
She was a communicant of St. Mary's Church, and a former member of the Franklin Senior Citizens.
She is survived by 1 sister: Helen Seiler of New York, 3 grandchildren: William D. Greer of Parrish, Florida, Cynthia Greer of W. Boylston, Christopher Greer of Dayville, Connecticut.
She was the mother of the late Mary Ann Greer, and the sister of the late Anthony Poltorak and Carrie Goff.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral Thursday, February 24, at 9:45AM from the Charles F. Oteri & Son Franklin Funeral Home, 33 Cottage Street, www.oterifuneralhome.com with a funeral Mass in St. Mary's Church at 10AM. Interment will follow in the family lot in St. Mary's Cemetery.
