NO. GRAFTON-William P. Ormond, 76, passed away Monday, February 21 at St. Vincent Hospital. He leaves a brother, Jack P. Ormond of Worcester; two sisters, Grace R. Bovenzi and Helen M. Ormond, both of No. Grafton. He also leaves several nephews, nieces, great-nephews and great-nieces. He was predeceased by a brother Patrick Ormond and three sisters, Nancy Dudko, Katherine Carey and Mitzi Sweeney.
He was born in Worcester, the son of William J. and Mary E. (Powers) Ormond and graduated from St. Stephen’s High School and Assumption College. Bill was a teacher at Burncoat Senior High School for many years, retiring in 1991. He was a longtime member of St. Mary’s Church and the Mass. Teachers Association.
The funeral will be held on Wednesday, February 23 from CALLAHAN & FAY BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 61 Myrtle St., Worcester with a Mass at 12:30 PM at St. Mary's Church, 117 Waterville St., No. Grafton. Burial will follow in St. John’s Cemetery, Worcester. A visiting hour will also be held on Wednesday from 11:00 AM to Noon at the funeral home.
