Robert C. Wilson, 76, passed away at home in Medford on February 20th, 2011. He was born in Malden on November 16th, 1934 to his parents George G. and Mildred K. (Cole) Wilson. Robert was raised in Malden and is a graduate of Malden High School, Class of 1952 and Boston College, Class of 1957. He has been a resident of Medford for the past 51 years. For many years he worked as a Physicist in the research department at Boston College. After his retirement, he accepted a position as a part time computer science and math teacher at North Shore Community College. He also taught at Bunker Hill Community College. Robert was an avid Boston College Hockey fan, attending most home games over a period of several years. First and foremost he was a family man who enjoyed the company of his wife, his children and his grandchildren. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Virginia C. (Sullivan) Wilson; by his children; Dianne F. Salois and her husband Robert of Malden, Denise M. Kelly and her husband Peter of Stoneham, Robert C. Wilson Jr. and his wife Jeanne of Medford, Janet L. Ahern and her husband Stephen of Stoneham, Richard P. Wilson and his wife Jennifer of Salem, NH and Derek S. Wilson and his wife Kristin of Boston. He is also survived by his grandchildren; Alex, Elizabeth, Cassandra, Erin, Gregory, Meaghan, Andrew, Matthew, Kaitlyn, Christopher, Emily and Madison. Relatives & friends are invited to attend his funeral from the Breslin Funeral Home, 610 Pleasant St., Malden on Thursday February 24th at 9 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated at St. Francis of Assisi Church, 441 Fellsway West, Medford at 10 AM. Services will conclude with interment in Oak Grove Cemetery in Medford. Visiting hours will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday February 23rd from 4-8 PM.
