Mrs. Barbara A. (Mahoney) Edgerly, age 68, died in the Winchester Hospital on January 8, 2004 after a brief illness. Born in Medford, she was the daughter of the late Florence (Lucia) & Thomas Mahoney.
Barbara was a 1954 graduate of Medford High School. Since 1961 she has been a Stoneham resident. Barbara was devoted to her family and loved spending quality time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by her beloved husband Louis C. Edgerly. Devoted mother of Derek Edgerly, Karen Keith and her husband Steven all of Stoneham, Lori Surette and her husband Stephen of Tewksbury. Loving grandmother of Steven & Jaclyn Keith, Andrew & Luc Surette. Sister of Virginia Fennelly, Paul Mahoney, Joseph Mahoney all of Medford, Charles Mahoney of Falmouth, Thomas Mahoney of Florida and the late James Mahoney, Frances DiMasi, Ruth O´Brien, Florence Petronio and Jean Clark. Also survived by several nieces, nephews, grand nieces and grand nephews.
Funeral from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., MEDFORD, Monday, January 12 at 9 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Patrick Church, 71 Central St., Stoneham at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Sunday 4 thru 8. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford. It has been requested that in lieu of flowers memorial contributions amy be made in Barbara’s memory to the St. Patrick Church Building Fund, 9 Pomeworth St., Stoneham, MA 02180.
