Obituary

Thomas N. DePalma, 83, a longtime resident of Stoughton, died at home on Sunday, February 20 surrounded by his family. He was the loving husband of 56 years of Eleanor C. (Fabiano) DePalma. Born in Boston, he was raised in Roslindale and graduated from Boston Technical High School and Wentworth Institute of Technology. He was a resident of Stoughton for the past 54 years. Mr. DePalma served in the U.S. Navy Seabees and was a veteran of World War II. He was a self-employed civil engineer for over 40 years before retiring at age 62. An avid golfer, he was a member of Sharon Country Club for 30 years.
In addition to his wife, Mr. DePalma is survived by his children, Alfred P. DePalma and his wife Meredith of GA, Thomas N. DePalma, Jr. and his wife Jill of Taunton, Michael G. DePalma and his wife Dorothy of N. Attleboro and Denise M. Miranda and her husband Rick of Canton. He was the grandfather of Cari, Allison, Jonathan, Christopher, Richard, Michael, Katherine and Laura. He was the brother of Donna Collins of Middleboro and is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Funeral will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt.27) Stoughton on Friday, February 25 at 9:30 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at Immaculate Conception Church, Stoughton at 10:30 AM. Visiting Hours Thursday from 4–8 PM. Burial will take place at Knollwood Memorial Park, Canton. Donations in Tom’s name may be made to Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, 26 Broadway, 14th Fl., New York, NY 10004.
