Obituary

Violet Zoss, 81, of Low Point, Illinois passed away at 4:10am Saturday, February 19, 2011 at the Apostolic Christian Home of Eureka.

She was born on January 16, 1930 in Washburn, Illinois the daughter of Andrew D. and Goldie (Mishler) Unzicker. She married Arthur L. Zoss on January 10, 1951 in Roanoke. He passed away on January 19, 1996.

Surviving is one son James (Evie) Zoss of Low Point. Four daughters Linda (Jim) Schrock and Laurel (Cliff) Bender both of Low Point, Shirley Lowe of Chipita Park, Colorado and Sharon Ulrich of Washburn. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and one sister Marilyn (Ken) Stauffer of Elkhart, IN. She was preceded in death by one grandson Caleb Zoss, and one sister, and one brother.

Violet was a member of Cazenovia Mennonite Church. She was a devoted to the Lord and her family, investing her life into the lives of others. In her later years, she ministered with compassion to ladies in prison.

Services will be at 10:00am Tuesday Feb. 22, 2011 at the Eureka Bible Church with Rev. Dennis Kennell and Rev. Tom Swanson officiating. Visitation will be from 4pm until 8pm Monday at the Eureka Bible Church and also one hour prior to services. Burial will be in Roanoke Mennonite Cemetery.
