Theresa Marie (Bousquet) Petruzzelli, a 39 year resident of Medford, formerly of Boston and beloved wife of Richard Petruzzelli, died at the Lawrence Memorial Hospital in Medford on Wednesday, February 16, 2011. She was 86 years old.
Born in Lawrence, Massachusetts, on July 13, 1924, she was the beloved daughter of the late Henry and Yvonne Bousquet. Mrs. Petruzzelli enjoyed singing, especially with her sisters and enjoyed old movies. Above all, she was a very devoted wife, mother and grandmother.
Besides her beloved husband, Richard, she will be very sorely missed by her loving children; Robert P. and his wife Patricia A. Lavoie and Charlene Lavoie, all of Greenville, New Hampshire, Richard P. and his wife Deborah Lavoie of San Diego, California, Francis H. Lavoie of Revere and Michael L. Lavoie of Medford, sister; Yvonne and her husband Andrew Mercure of Springfield, eleven grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was also the mother of the late Diane M. Lavoie.
Her funeral was from the Beals-Geake-Magliozzi Funeral Home, Monday, February 21, 2011, at 10 AM, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated in St. Joseph Church, 118 High Street, Medford at 11 AM. Many relatives and friends were in attendance. Visiting hours were held on Sunday, February 20, 2011, from 2 to 6 PM. Interment was in Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
