Peter Kilshaw, 62, of Fairhaven died February 17, 2011 at Beth Israel Hospital from complications from diabetes.
He was the husband of Maria R. (Rato) Kilshaw.
Born in New Bedford, the son of the late Herbert and Doris (Breakell) Kilshaw, he lived in Fairhaven most of his life.
Mr. Kilshaw was a boat owner and captain in the New Bedford fishing fleet.
He was a member of the Reservation Golf Club and a graduate of Roger Williams College.
Mr. Kilshaw was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends and preparing meals for others.
Survivors include his wife; 3 daughters, Jennifer M. Gill and her husband Gary of Milville, MA, Catherine A. Kilshaw of Mattapoisett and Angela B. Kilshaw of Fairhaven; 2 brothers, Alan H. Kilshaw and his wife Sally of The Villages, FL and David Kilshaw of Hyannis; a granddaughter, Giulianna M. Gill; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral from the Saunders-Dwyer Mattapoisett Home For Funerals, 50 County Rd. (Rt. 6) Mattapoisett Wednesday, February 23rd at 9 AM. Funeral Mass at St. Joseph's Church at 10 AM. Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery. Visiting hours Tuesday, February 22nd from 4-8 PM in the Saunders-Dwyer Mattapoisett Home For Funerals, 50 County Rd. (Rt. 6) Mattapoisett.
