Tanesha I. Nunes, 32, of New Bedford died Wednesday February 16, 2011 at Children's Hospital after a brief illness.
Born in New Bedford, the daughter of Janet M. Staley and Samuel R. Nunes, she lived in New Bedford all of her life.
Tanesha was employed as a child care provider.
She is survived by her parents; her siblings, Tamara B. Nunes, David A. Turner, and Mellisa Szela; her grandmother, Isabelle Staley; her nephew, Dominic Turner; her god-daughter, Jasmine Hunt; her uncle, Jason Staley and his wife Kathleen; her aunt, Addy Ribeiro and her fiancé Junior; and many other aunts, uncles, and cousins.
She was the granddaughter of the late Derrel Staley, Beatrice Ribeiro, and Walter Sylvia.
Her Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday at 11 AM at the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery. Visiting hours Monday 4-8 PM. For directions and guestbook, please visit www.saundersdwyer.com.
