Evelyn M. (Demers) (Raymond) Vaillancourt, 77, of Derry, NH died Wednesday January 7, 2004 at her home. She was born in Lawrence, MA on October 1, 1926, a daughter of the late Joseph and Marie (Bosse) Demers. She was raised and educated in Lawrence, before residing in Derry for 34 years. She was a member of St. Thomas Aquinas Church, Derry. She worked in the electronics industry and enjoyed being a homemaker to her family. Mrs. Vaillancourt was the widow of August E. Vaillancourt, whom she lovingly cared for during his long illness.
She is survived by one daughter, Susan Raymond of Derry, three sons, Albert Raymond and his wife Adele of Salem, Rene Raymond of Derry, Mark Vaillancourt and his wife Tina of Raymond, seven grandchildren, two great grandchildren, two sisters, Rosanne Dargoonian of Salem, Blanche Winton of Derry, four brothers, Phillip Demers, George Demers, both of Lowell, MA, Rene Demers, Alcide Demers, both of Maryland, several nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Monday January 12th at 11:00am at St. Thomas Aquinas Church, 26 Crystal Avenue, Derry. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Cemetery, East Derry. Friends may call at the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch Street, Derry on Sunday from 2 - 6 PM.
