Slim passed away peacefully on January 18, 2011 with his family by his side. Loved by all who knew him and he will be greatly missed by his wife Jane; children Tammy Swope (Larry) and Sam (Pam); grandsons Ryan Swope (Evelynda) and their expected son in May, Jason Swope (Cathy) and their children Colin & Tatum, and Zachary Swope (Gretchen) and 5 siblings and their families. He is preceded in death by 5 siblings. He was a decorated Korean War Army Veteran and a member of Local #647. Memorial gathering Saturday (1/22) from 2-5:00 PM at SANDBERG FUNERAL HOME, 2593 E. 7th Avenue, North St. Paul. Memorials preferred in lieu of flowers to the family or the American Stroke Assoc.
