Obituary

Thomas F. Williams of Manomet died at home February 12. He was 86 years old. He was predeceased by his son Bruce and his wife of 62 years Nancy. He is survived by his sons Craig and Kevin of Central Vermont and his daughter Diane Pace of San Diego, CA. His siblings Morgan “Bud” of PA, David of NC and Lura Luise of OH also mourn his passing. Tom was born in Columbus, Ohio. He moved to Massachusetts as a young man and joined the US Army Air Corp. He flew DC3 transport planes at the end of WWII. Later he was a mathematician and a lifelong educator, but he never lost interest in aviation. He built model planes for decades, and, at age 70, built and flew his own ultra-light aircraft. Tom’s achievements in education and aviation are notable, but he will be remembered most as a loving and dedicated husband and father. Tom’s service and burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to Cranberry Hospice, 36 Cordage Park Cr, Suite 326, Plymouth, MA 02360. On-line condolences may be made at richarddavisfuneralhome.com
