Mary Lou Johnson Ford, age 87, of Douglas GA passed away on Saturday, February 12, 2011, at Shady Acres Convalescent Center, Douglas GA. Mrs. Ford, a native of Alma Georgia was born November 05, 1923: she is the daughter of the late James Lamar and Daisy Lee Johnson and the widow of the late Robert James Ford. She was a day care sitter for a home care service. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM, Monday, February 14, 2011, at First Assembly of God Church with Burial to follow in the Douglas City Cemetery in Douglas GA. Survivors include: daughter, Mary Ann Quinn, Douglas GA, grandson, James C. (Lori) Quinn, two great grandchildren, four great-great grandchildren, brother, Grooms (Theta) Johnson, Hartwell GA, sister, Dixie Brewster, Waycross GA, nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on Sunday, February 13, 2011, at Sims Funeral Home; calling hours are 6:00 pm until 9:00 pm. Sims Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
