Obituary

WORCESTER-Allen K. Foster, 89, passed away Saturday, February 12, 2011 at home surrounded by his loving family.

He leaves his loving wife of 65 years, Gloria C. (Lebel) Foster; his beloved children, Kenneth A. Foster and his wife Jeanne of Sutton, David T. Foster of Woodstock, CT, Carol A. Pappas and her husband Thomas of Sutton and Deborah E. Molinari of Shrewsbury; six grandchildren, one great grandchild and many nieces and nephews. His brother, Norman B. Foster predeceased him.

Allen was born in Worcester the son of Timothy B. and Emma (Johnson) Foster and graduated from Worcester Boy’s Trade School. He was a WWII Navy veteran. Mr. Foster worked for American Steel & Wire and then Hollander & Johnson as a machinist retiring in 1983. He was a member of Quinsigamond United Methodist Church, a lifetime member of Morning Star Lodge A.F. & A. M. and a 50 year member of the Worcester Power Squadron. Allen loved spending time with his family, trips to Cape Cod and boating.

Allen’s funeral service will be on Tuesday, February 15 at 11:00 AM at Quinsigamond United Methodist Church, 9 Stebbins St. Interment will be private. There are no visiting hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Quinsigamond United Methodist Church, 9 Stebbins St., Worcester, MA 01607.
