Mrs. Shirley Jo Edge James
Martinez, GA – Entered into rest at her home, Friday, February 11, 2011, Mrs. Shirley Jo Edge James, 72, wife of Francis W. “Jesse” James.
Mrs. James was a native of Horry County, SC and resided in Martinez for 42 years. She was a member of St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church. Mrs. James worked for over 15 years as a waitress at the Town Tavern in Augusta.
Family members in addition to her husband include sons, Edward C. James (Nancy) of Hephzibah, William C. James (Denise) of Augusta, brothers, Ralph Edge of Murrells Inlet, SC, Rueben Edge (Ann) of Long, SC, the late Alford Edge of Myrtle Beach, SC, sister, Katie Starnes (Bill) of Winnsboro, SC, aunt, Florence Edge Haymond. Mrs. James was preceded in death by her father and mother, F. Crosland and Costie Lewis Edge.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, February 17, 2011 at 11:00 A.M. in the Chapel of Thomas Poteet and Son with Father Roverse officiating. Interment will follow in Bellevue Memorial Gardens.

A Rosary service will be held, Wednesday, February 16, 2011 at 6:00 P.M. and the family will receive friends from 6:30 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
