WILLIAM M. EVANS, 91, of Louisville, passed away at Friday, February 11, 2011 at Norton Brownsboro Hospital.
He was a retired Air Force veteran of 22 years who served in World War II. He retired after 17 years with 3M as a technical rep. He was a member of Lynnhurst United Church of Christ. He loved nature, trains and dogs. He was a kind and gentle soul.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Gertrude “Dolly” Evans.
He is survived by his daughter, Linda Evans Compton; grandsons, Kevin (Mary) and Chris (Carrie) Compton; nephews, Charles, Doug, Ricky, Ronnie, JAD and Mark; and niece, Dianne.
The family would like to thank everyone at Friendship Manor for their love and care.
His service will be 2pm Monday at Owen Funeral Home – Jeffersontown, 9318 Taylorsville Road, with burial in Resthaven Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday 1pm-7pm and after 1pm Monday.
