Obituary

Methuen, MA- John K. “Ken” Foster, 63, died suddenly Friday, February 11, 2011 at his home with his wife of 38 years, Carole (Lavoie) Foster, by his side.
Born in Lawrence, on July 6, 1948, Ken was the son of Mary (Morin) Palermo and the late John K. Foster Sr. raised in Methuen; he was a graduate of Tenney High School.
For many years, Ken worked as an Offset Pressman for Minute Man Press in Andover, and most recently worked in the Paint Department at Sherwin Williams in Lowell.
He was an active communicant of St. Monica’s Church in Methuen and was a lover and collector of music, movies, and numerous electronics. He was also an avid Boston Sports Fan. His biggest joy in life came from his grandchildren,whether he was going to their sporting games or watching them on any given Wednesday, Ken was always there. He will be sadly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
Along with his mother Mary (Morin) Palermo, Ken is survived by his beloved wife of 38 years, Carole, his 3 children, Cheryl Little and her husband Lance of Derry, NH, Keith Foster of Worcester, MA and Christopher J. “CJ” Foster of Sun Valley, CA, and 2 cherished grandchildren, Jonathan and Brooke Little. He is also survived by his two sisters, Patricia Wilkins and Evelyn Blackburn. In addition, he is also survived by his in-laws, Lorraine Comeau and her husband John, Giselle Lavoie, Richard Lavoie and his wife Nancy, Normand Lavoie, John Lavoie and his wife Denise and Hilaire Lavoie and his wife Kathy, as well as many nieces and nephews.
ARRANGEMENTS: Relatives and friends are invited to pay their respects on Tuesday, February 15th from 3-8 p.m. at the Kenneth H. pollard Funeral Home 233 Lawrence St., Methuen. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Wednesday Feb. 16th at 9 a.m. at St. Monica’s Church with Burial to follow at Elmwood Cemetery in Methuen.
