In West Bridgewater, February 9, 2011 Mathilda “Tillie” Wade died peacefully. She was 91. A lifelong resident of Taunton, Tillie lived at Leisure Woods for over 20 years. She was the daughter of the late Anna & Edward Milka, and the widow of John Edward Wade. She is the mother of Patricia Palazzo and her husband Daniel of West Warwick, RI., Maureen Lima & her husband Ronald of Raynham and Jack Wade & his wife Nancy of Raynham. She is the grandmother to Kenneth, Debbie and Brian Palazzo, Pamela Vaz and Paula Thomas, and Amy Peterson and Sara Wade and Nana T. to great-grandchildren Nick and Cara Vaz, Hayley and Adam Thomas, Matthew and Danielle Palazzo, Jake, Ryan and Brendan Goonan and Thomas and Edward Peterson. She also leaves behind siblings Jean Walker of Taunton, Veronica Custer of Raynham, Frank Milka of CT., Edwina Piekarski of RI and Eleanor Baptiste of Taunton as well as many nieces, nephews and friends. She is predeceased by her granddaughter Rhonda Goonan, and siblings Josephine McCarthy, Helen Perry and Matthew Milka. Having retired from Paul A. Dever State School over 30 years ago, Tillie spent her days doing what she loved with those she loved. She was an active member of the Westside Seniors of Taunton and a communicant of St. Mary’s Parish in Taunton, MA. She was an avid sports fan, and never missed an event in the children’s, grandchildren’s, or great grand-children’s lives. She will be deeply missed. Funeral from the O’Keefe-wade Funeral Home, 70 Washington St. in Taunton, MA on Monday, February 14th at 9:30am. Followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Ann’s Church in Raynham at 10:30am. Relatives and friends are invited to visiting hours on Sunday from 3-6pm. In lieu of flowers, the family ask that those who wish to remember Tillie make a donation to the Rhonda J.
