Obituary

GLOUCESTER: Miss Patricia A. Firth, 78, of 32 Lincoln Park, died peacefully at her home on Tuesday morning, February 8, 2011.
Born in Gloucester on August 22, 1932, she was the daughter of the late Douglas W. and Gladys A. (DeCoste) Firth. She was a lifelong resident of Gloucester and attended Saint Ann's School.
Pat was employed as a cafeteria worker in the Addison Gilbert Hospital for twenty-five years, having retired in the late 1980's. She was a loving and devoted sister, aunt and friend. She enjoyed doing needlework, playing bingo with her friends and participating in family gatherings. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
She is survived by her six nieces and nephews; Dianne C. Alves, Mary Jeanne, wife of Michael Phipps, Lois A. Alves, John D. Alves, Thomas W., husband of Dawn Alves and Christopher M., husband of Denise Alves; eight grandnieces and grandnephews, Nathan, husband of Neeta Phipps, Benjamin Phipps, husband of Emma Ferguson, E. Daniel Phipps, John C., Samantha and Jacob Alves, Mathew and Marc Alves; a great-grandniece Karina Phipps; and great-grandnephew Hudson Phipps. She was also predeceased by her sister and brother-in-law, Mary M. and John S. Alves.
Her funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday morning in the Holy Family Parish, St. Ann Church, Gloucester at 10 a.m. Visitation will be held prior to the Mass in the Pike-Grondin Funeral Home, 61 Middle Street, Gloucester beginning at 8:30 a.m. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend. Interment will be held in the Beechbrook Cemetery.
