EVANS – Mrs. Claire Higgins Kelley, 87, died January 29, 2011 at Brandon Wide, where she had been a resident for five years.
Mrs. Kelley was born July 8, 1923 in Augusta to Frank and Ada Clare (Von Kamp) Higgins. She had lived in Greenwich, Connecticut for 36 years, before retiring and returning home to Augusta with her husband.
She is survived by her sister, Joan Clay of Augusta, her sons, Brant and his wife, Joy, and Terrell and his wife, Renate, and her grandsons, Keith and Todd, and wife, Maria, all of Stamford, Connecticut. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Brant Kelley Sr., and her parents, Frank and Ada Clare Higgins.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 12, 2011 at 11:00 AM at Platt’s Crawford Avenue Chapel with the Rev. Michael Lubinsky officiating.
