Mrs. Pauline Elizabeth Lane Joyce, age 87, widow of the late Mr. Jack Joyce of Pinnacle, passed away on Tuesday, February 8, 2011. She was born on October 26, 1923 to the late Claude Aaron and Hessie Edwards Lane she was a homemaker and a member of Olive Grove Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by; brother, Bud Lane; infant sister, Sara Lane; foster sister, Judy Forrest; and son-in-law, Kenneth Wright. Mrs. Joyce is survived by two daughters, Karen Wright of Pinnacle and Bonnie (Tim) Gentry of Pinnacle; one granddaughter, Amber (Jason) Stogner of Rural Hall; one great-granddaughter, Caroline Kensley Stogner; her sister, Opal Smith of Pinnacle; sister-in-law, Shelba Lane of Pinnacle and several nieces and nephews. The family will be receiving friends on Thursday, February 10, 2011 at Olive Grove Baptist Church from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. Funeral Services will be held at Olive Grove Baptist Church in Pinnacle on Friday, February 11, 2011 at 2:00 PM with the Rev. Mitchell Robertson officiating with interment to follow at the church cemetery. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Sherrilyn Dalton, Brittany Goins, and Rachal Brady of Hospice of Stokes County for their love and compassion shown during their mother’s illness and passing.
