Lt. Col. (Ret) Joseph (Joe) Alfred Falls, 81, Clarksville, passed away unexpectedly Sunday, February 06, 2011, at Gateway Medical Center. Graveside services will be held at 3 PM Tuesday February 08, 2011 at Resthaven Memorial Gardens with Dr. Roger Freeman officiating. Burial will be in Resthaven Memorial Gardens with full military honors. Visitation will be from 12 PM until 2:30 PM Tuesday at Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Funeral Home . Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Joe was born on December 04, 1929 in Joelton, TN to the late James Ross Falls and Clara Harper Falls. He was preceded in death by two sisters; Aurelia Falls Corbitt and Patti Falls Davis. Joe retired as a Lt. Col. after 23 years of service with the U.S. Army where he served in Vietnam. He was a member of First Baptist Church where he served as a deacon. Joe was an avid golfer, gardener, and also participated in Senior Olympic Games where he won numerous medals. He is survived by his wife; Bettye B. Falls of Clarksville, three brothers; James Ross Falls, Jr. of San Diego, CA, Glenn Thompson Falls of Nashville, TN, and Wayne Harper Falls of Joelton, TN, and several nieces and nephews. Military will serve as pallbearers. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to First Baptist Church Find Us Faithful Still Building Fund 435 Madison Street Clarksville, TN 37040.
