Obituary

Donald S. “Don” Kelley, 53, of East Bridgewater, died Thursday February 3rd, after injuries due to a motor vehicle accident. He was the husband of Niki (Yearwood) Kelley.

He was born in Newburyport, son of the late Dennis W. and Marie (Rogers) Kelley, grew up in Byfield and went to Newbury schools and was a graduate of Essex Agricultural School in Danvers, class of 1975. He was the past Master of the Quascacunquen Grange of Byfield.

Don was an East Bridgewater resident, owned and operated his own concrete form company for the past 6 years. He also lived in the Berkshires for a period of time, where he was a member of the conservation commission.

He was an avid dart player, belonging to two dart leagues, Shooters Pub & Pizza in Avon and on the Death Row team in the Minuteman dart league. He also played in the Super Villains summer league, which was a state champion team. Don also played adult hockey in Newburyport.

In addition to his wife Niki, he is survived by his 3 sons, Patrick S. Kelley and his wife Lindsey of East Bridgewater, Sean M. Kelley of Bridgewater and Dwayne Payne of East Bridgewater, his brothers Steven Kelley and his companion Theresa Libby , James Kelley and his wife Natalie all of NH and Brian Kelley of Hawthorne, his sister Kathleen Mange and her husband William of NH; also grandfather of 3 granddaughters, several aunts, uncle nieces, nephews and cousins.

His visitation will be held on Wednesday February 9th from 4:00-8:00 in the Blanchard Funeral Chapel Plymouth Street (Rt. 58 at the rotary) Whitman. Burial will be at an later date. Donations may be made in his name to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or to Old Colony Hospice, One Credit Union Way, Randolph, MA 02368.
