Carol J. Pentleton Robinson, 58, of Chestnut Hill Road, Chepachet, a freelance graphic designer, died Wednesday, February 2, 2011 at Day Kimball Hospital in Putnam, CT. She was the wife of Eric N. Robinson. They had been married for 30 years.
Besides her husband she is survived by a son, Brett I. Robinson and his wife Toni Robinson of Douglas, MA and a brother Harvey Pentelton of Mattopoisett, MA. She also leaves her beloved cats, Calvin and Hobbs.
Born in New Bedford, MA, she was the daughter of the late Stanley and Bertha (Best) Pentleton. She had lived in Chepachet since 1983.
She was a lifelong Red Sox Fan, a member of the First Unitarian Church in Providence and a graduate of RISD. She had an insatiable thirst for learning and had recently been most involved in book design. She was a very active donor and supporter of the RI Blood Bank.
A memorial service will be held Thursday at 11:30am in the First Unitarian Church, 1 Benevolent St. Providence, RI 02906. Visitation Wednesday 4-7pm in the ANDERSON-WINFIELD Funeral Home, Route 44 at Greenville Common, Greenville. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to RI Blood Bank, 405 Promenade Street, Providence, RI 02908. Please consider a gift of blood in her honor.
