Madden, of Brockton, January 5, 2004, Beatrice M. (Bilodeau) Madden, 82 years. Wife of the late William T. Madden. Mother of William T. Madden Jr., Karen A. Downey, Linda E. Fountain and Stephen E. Madden. Sister of Ernest Bilodeau, Claire LeBlanc and Theresa F. Garceau.

Funeral from the J. Frank Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton, Thursday at 9:30am. Funeral Mass in St. Edith Stein Church (formerly St. Edward’s Church) at 10:30am. Burial in Calvary Cemetery. Visiting Hours Wednesday 4-8pm.

Obituary Information

Beatrice M. (Bilodeau) Madden, 82 years of Brockton, MA died Monday at the Caritas Good Samaritan Medical Center, Brockton, after a period of failing health. She was born in Thetford, Canada, daughter of the late Ernest and Eva (Lendry) Bilodeau. At the age of eight, she moved to Providence, RI where she was raised and attended St. Charles School. She had been employed in Providence as a textile worker and when a resident of Brockton she was employed in the alteration department of the King Size Company in Brockton, retiring in 1985. She had been a longtime communicant of St. Edward’s Church (St. Edith Stein) she enjoyed camping, shopping, Bingo and time spent with her family.

She is survived by two sons, William T. Madden, Jr. of East Wareham and Stephen E. Madden, two daughters Karen A. Downey of Brockton and Linda E. Fountain of Middleboro, 7 grandchildren, many nieces and nephews, one brother Ernest Bilodeau of Cranston RI, two sisters Theresa F. Garceau of Cranston, RI and Claire LeBlanc of Hardwick, VT

She was the wife of the late William T. Madden and sister of the late Roland, Paul and Robert Bilodeau and Viola Heroux
