NATICK: Marion P. (Tassey) Kyrka, 89, died peacefully on February 2, 2011 at the Miriam Boyd Parlin Hospice Residence in Wayland following a period of declining health.
She was born in Northfield, New Hampshire on October 2, 1921 the daughter of the late Mathew Tassey and Thena (Andoni) Tassey.
Mrs. Kyrka is survived by her devoted sons John M. Kyrka of Natick and Robert G. Kyrka and his wife Pamela S. Kyrka of Holliston. She was the grandmother of Kristin Kyrka of Seattle, WA and Morgan Kyrka of Portsmouth, NH. She is also survived by her sister Rita Fagan of Natick and her brother Steven Tassey of Shelburne, NH as well as many nieces and nephews. She was the wife for 45 years of the late Kosta H. Kyrka who died in August of 1989.
Marion spent her formative years in Tilton, NH where she was educated. She has been a resident of Natick for over 52 years. In her earlier years, she was a nurse attendant at the Cushing Hospital in Framingham. She was devoted to her family and to her faith.
Visitations will be held on Monday, Feb. 7, 2011 from 4:00 to 7:00 pm at the John C. Bryant Funeral Home, 56 Pemberton Road (Off Rte 30), Cochituate Village, Wayland.
Private services will be held for her family at their convenience. Burial will take place in the Kyrka family lot in Dell Park Cemetery in Natick.
