Pauline (Montefusco) Aloise, of Medford, formerly of Boston’s North End, died Sunday at Massachusetts General Hospital. She was 87.
Pauline was born and raised in Boston’s North End, the daughter of the late Vincenzo and the late Maria (Bruzzese) Montefusco. A devoted housewife and mother, Pauline had been a talented seamstress and interior decorator in her earlier years. A long-time North Ender, Pauline lived several years in Medford.
She was the beloved wife of the late Pasquale “Pat” Aloise, who died several weeks ago, and a devoted and loving mother to Frances Janet Alviti and her husband Arnold “Arnie” Alviti of Medford. She was a dear sister to John Montefusco of NJ and the late Joseph "Martini", Robert "Fatto" and Domenic Montefusco. She was a dear aunt of James "Buddy" Watson, Johnny, Gary, and Dennis Montefusco and Maria Montefusco-Holland.
Her funeral will be from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford, Friday, February 4th at 10:30 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Leonard Church, Hanover St., Boston’s North End at 11 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend and may visit with the family from 9 – 10:30, Friday morning. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
