Mr. James D. Jamison, a resident of Andover and beloved husband of Grace (Williams) Jamison, died at Wingate At Haverhill Nursing Center on Wednesday, January 11, 2011. He was 80 years old.
He was born in Williamsport, Pennsylvania, on May 23, 1930. Mr. Jamison was a US Army veteran, entering the military on August 3, 1953 and receiving his honorable discharge on June 4, 1955. He worked as a technical writer for many years and was a member of the Fellowship Bible Church in Methuen, for many years.
Besides his beloved wife, Grace, he will be sorely missed by his loving sons; Paul L. Jamison of Lowell and David J. Jamison of Andover. He was also survived by several nieces nephews and cousins.
His funeral service was celebrated in the Burke-Magliozzi Funeral Home, 390 North Main Street, Andover, on Monday, January 10, 2011, at 11 AM. Many realtives and friends were in attendance. Calling hours were held in the funeral home on Monday, prior to the service, from 9:30 to 10:30 AM. Burial was held in the West Parish Garden Cemetery in Andover.
