Ethel L. Watson, 87, Clarksville, died Monday, January 31, 2011, at Montgomery Care and Rehab. The funeral will be held at 2 PM Thursday at Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Chapel with Brother Ken Gossett and Brother Blakey Bradley officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:30-8 PM Wednesday at the funeral home and from 11 AM until the hour of service Thursday at the funeral home. Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Ethel was born on May 13, 1923 in Gibson Station, VA to the late Edgar Littrell and Martha VanBeber Littrell. She was preceded in death by her husband; Joe Watson, a brother; Roy Littrell and a sister; Clara Chadwell. She was a homemaker, Kmart greeter, and worked at the USO. She was also a member of the First Baptist Church. Survivors include a son; Eddie (Chris) Watson of Clarksville, a daughter; Shelia (Mitchell) Ross of Clarksville, a sister; Edith Williams of Middlesboro, KY, three grandchildren; Robert (Kelly) Boone of Clarksville, Ginger (Scott) Capodice of Dover, Delaware, and Katy (Jon) Over of Clarksville, and six great grandchildren. Pallbearers will be John Chadwell, David Chadwell, Bill Hyams, Charlie Crouch, Wilton McKinney, and Bill Clement.
Honorary pallbearers will be Ed Tarrents and Ed Shephard.
