Helen I.“Ruby” OTTAVIANO, 82, of Atwood Avenue, died Friday, January 28, 2010 at Fatima Hospital.
Born in Providence, a daughter of the late Louis and Helen (Defusco) Gautieri. She lived in Johnston and had previously lived in Smithfield.
Helen was a hairdresser until her retirement when she volunteered once a month making sandwiches and pizza for the homeless in Providence. She loved babysitting her great grandchildren.
She is survived by her children, Mickey Gautieri of North Providence and Wayne DeMarco of Scituate; her three grandsons: David and Thomas Viens and Donald Houle; six great grandchildren and a brother, Louis Gautieri, Jr. of Johnston. She was the mother of the late Beverly Ottaviano and sister of the late Domenic Gautieri and Constance Rapa.
A funeral service will be held Tuesday at 10am in Highland Memorial Park Cemetery, Johnston. Visitation Monday 5-7pm in the ANDERSON-WINFIELD Funeral Home, Route 44 at Greenville Common, Greenville.
