Robert J. Olson, 66, a longtime resident of Brockton, died unexpectedly at home on Thursday, January 27. He was the husband of Linda J. (McNamara) Olson. Son of the late Harold J. and Alice (Pierce) Olson, he was born and raised in Taunton and graduated from Bristol-Plymouth Regional Technical School in Taunton. He was a resident of Brockton for the past 26 years. Mr. Olson was a metal fabricator at Taunton Engineering for 32 years before retiring 5 years ago. He was active at the Sharon Dog Park.
In addition to his wife, Mr. Olson is survived by his daughter, Laurie A. Ingram of Brockton. He was the brother of Michael Olson of Eugene, OR and the late Richard Olson. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Funeral will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt.27) Stoughton on Monday, January 31 at 9:30 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at Immaculate Conception Church, Stoughton at 10:30 AM.
