
Richard J. “Dick” Palmer age 67 of Salem, NH, died Thursday at his home in Salem.
He was born in Everett, MA, grew up and was educated in Malden, MA, where he graduated from Malden High School. He later attended Northeastern University in Boston. Mr. Palmer was a resident of Salem for the past 37 years, formerly of Woburn, MA.
Mr. Palmer was a Director for Wang Labs in Lowell, MA. He was a member of Mary Queen of Peace Church in Salem, where he was very active as a lector, Eucharistic minister, and sang in the choir. He was also a member of the Small Faith Prayer Group at the church. Mr. Palmer was a US Army veteran, serving during the Vietnam War. He was a 4th degree member of the Knights of Columbus, Bishop Peterson Assembly. He was a former Cub Master for Cub Pack 160 in Salem, NH, and was a member of the White Mountain Natl. Forest-Wild River Preservation. He loved the outdoors, especially canoeing in Maine.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Monday, January 31st at 10:30 AM at Mary Queen of Pace Church, Salem, NH. Burial will be in the NH State Veteran’s Cemetery, Boscawen, NH.
Calling hours will be Sunday, Jan. 30th from 2-6 PM at Douglas & Johnson Funeral Home, 214 Main St., Salem, NH. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St’s Mary & Joseph Parish @ Mary Queen of Peace Church, 200 Lawrence Rd, Salem, NH 03079.
