Obituary

Lawrence, MA- William “Bill” Fosman, 84, a longtime resident of Lawrence and most recently of Manchester, NH, died Tuesday, January 25th at the Elliott Hospital in Manchester, NH.
Born on May 16, 1926 in Manchester, Bill was the son of Samuel and Bessie (Resnick) Fosman. Upon graduation from High School, Bill served his country in the U.S. Navy during WWII. After his return he worked for the Department of Transportation in Massachusetts.
Bill was a past president of the South Lawrence East Little League, where he made an impact on so many children’s lives. Bill was also an active member of the Lawrence British Club and also very active in Lawrence organized sports. Bill was a great man who will be remembered and missed by all who knew him.
The widower of the late Claire E. (Gauthier), Bill is survived by his children, Luann Fosman-Day of Londonderry, NH, Stephen Fosman of Manchester, NH, Kevin Fosman and his wife Karen of Salem, NH, daughter in-law Tina Fosman of Salem, NH, brothers, Harold Fosman and Herbert Fosman and his wife Uschi, all of Florida, 6 beloved grandchildren, Jillian, K.C., Keanen, Cameron, Nicholas and Dominic, one great-granddaughter, Zoey, as well as several nieces and nephews. Mr. Fosman was predeceased by his son Kenneth in 2006.
ARRANGEMENTS: Relatives and friends are invited to pay their respects on Friday, January 28th from 4-7 p.m. at the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home 233 Lawrence St., Methuen. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Saturday, January 29th at 11 a.m. at St. Patrick’s Church in Lawrence with burial to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in North Andover.
