John W. “Jack” Kovolski, Jr. passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, January 25, 2011. A loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, he was the son of the late John W. and Jeanette (Ragan) Kovolski of West Hartford, CT. Jack graduated from Cornwall Preparatory School in CT and attended North Adams State College in North Adams, MA.
A resident of Smithfield, RI since 1985, he recently retired from Texpak, Inc. and was previously employed by Sprague Electric Co. in Mansfield, MA. He was a long-time member of the Smithfield Zoning Board of Review. Jack enjoyed coaching youth soccer, playing golf, collecting classic cars, reading, spending time in St. Augustine, FL, and especially loved being with family and friends.
He is survived by Virginia, his wife of 37 years, sons Christopher (Barbara) of Havertown, PA and Stephen of Providence, RI, brothers Peter of West Hartford, CT and William of Villanova, PA, and two grandchildren, Jack and Kyle. He was predeceased by a brother, James, of West Hartford, CT.
Memorial service Saturday 11am in the ANDERSON-WINFIELD Funeral Home, Route 44 at Greenville Common, Greenville, RI. Visitation 9:30-11am.
