Carrie Allie Lawson Willis, 80, of 34 Oakridge Avenue in Danville, VA went to be with the Lord, Sunday, January 23, 2011. Born May 9, 1930 in Blackwater, VA, she was the daughter of the late Davy and Jane Osborne Lawson. She was of the Baptist faith, a member of Blackwater Lick Primitive Baptist Church.
She was predeceased by her husband, Milum Denver Willis, a son, Tony Remi Willis, Sr., five sisters: Maggie Johnson, Verna Russell, Pearlie Lawson, Gracie Lawson, Stella Lawson; and three brothers: Jimmy Lawson, Floyd Lawson, and Junior Lawson.
She is survived by her son, Dennis Darryl Willis, Sr.; daughters-in-law: Margaret Willis and Beatrice Castiglione, grandsons Dennis Darryl Willis, Jr. and his wife Candy, Tony (T.J.) Remi Willis, Jr. and his wife Amy, James Henry Vaughan and his wife Tammy, Shane Fowlkes; great-grandchildren: Jacob Willis, Tyler Scerace, Brittany Poole, Tyler Vaughan, Hunter Vaughan, Joshua Fowlkes, Tyler Fowlkes; a sister, Addie Walton, and a brother, Tommie Lawson.
Funeral services will be held at the Robinette Funeral Home in Blackwater, Virginia at a later date. Interment will follow in the Osborne Cemetery, Blackwater, Virginia.
