Mr. Francis Lee “Rudolph” Wheeles, 86, of Forest Park, Georgia, formerly of Fitzgerald, died January 21, 2011.
Funeral services will be held 11 AM Monday, January 24, 2011, in the Morrow Chapel of Pope Dickson & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Tom Shannon officiating. Interment will follow at 4 PM in the Evergreen Cemetery at Fitzgerald.
Mr. Wheeles was born October 24, 1924, in Fitzgerald, Georgia to the late Lewis H. and Annie Berryhill Wheeles. He was a master cabinet maker and a Veteran of World War II serving in the U.S. Army.
He is survived by daughters: Patricia A. Sanders of Griffin, Barbara Jean Harris of Hampton and Carolyn F. Hill of Oklahoma; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; sister, Mary Jo Blackstock of Fitzgerald and brother, Douglas Wheeles of Forest Park. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Pauline Wheeles and brother W.R. Wheeles.
