Janet M. (LeBlanc) Joyal passed away unexpectedly on Friday January 21st her 81st Birthday.
She was the beloved wife of Eugene F. Joyal whom she married one week short of 60 years ago.
Born in Waltham she spent most of her adult life in Canton raising her four children. Janet worked as a cafeteria worker for the Canton Public Schools for many years. She also worked as a secretary in the Building Permit Department for the Town of Canton and for Robinson’s Insurance Company in Waltham.
Janet enjoyed traveling with her husband Gene together with family and friends. More recently she loved to play cards with her grandchildren and spent many an hour on her word search puzzles.
Loving mother of Donald E. Joyal and his wife Maureen of Baldwinville, Robert F. Joyal and his wife Ann of Lakeville, Scott D. Joyal and his wife Diane of Taunton, and Steven D. Joyal of Casco, ME. Beloved sister of Susan Russo and husband John of Nashua, NH and the late Bernard LeBlanc of Waltham. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren: Janelle, Chris, Michelle, Katie, Travis, Kelsey and Rachelle. Dear friend of Eileen Smith of Canton.
Visiting hours in the Roache-Pushard Family Funeral home 210 Sherman St., Canton will be Friday January 28, 2011 from 4-8 PM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Gerard Majella Church Washington St. Canton Saturday at 10 AM. Interment Canton Corner Cemetery.
